Manulife Real Estate has started a new line of Canadian real estate funds. The Manulife Canadian Real Estate Funds is structured as a private two-tier limited partnership, which provides separate real estate investment options from a single source of real estate assets.
The vehicle, which is launched with 11 income producing properties, is valued at about $190 million. The fund will be offered to institutional investors through Manulife Asset Management, the global asset management unit of Manulife Financial.
