Options exchange operator, Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), is seeking to list all of the S&P 500 Index options on its new, all-electronic platform, C2. CBOE’s parent will call the securities “SPXpm” as they will settle in the afternoon.

SPXpm will allow customers to trade SPX options with a settlement convention found in the OTC market, without having to sacrifice the benefits and safeguards of exchange trading and clearing. The platform will be launched after getting approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission.
