AXA Private Equity has agreed to acquire a majority stake in chemicals group, Novacap, from Bain Capital. The European private equity firm will pay a total of €240 million for the acquisition.
Bain had completed a €130 million debt refinancing to complete a sale of Novacop in June last year, adds AltAssets. The lead arrangers and book-runners to arrange and underwrite senior credit facilities for the acquisition were BNP Paribas, HSBC and Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking.
