EMS Gets Four Buyout Bids

Four private-equity firms have made offers to buy U.S. ambulance company, Emergency Medical Services.

Four private-equity firms have made offers to buy U.S. ambulance company, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Bloomberg reports. Bain Capital and KKR have emerged as leading candidates, while Apax Partners and Clayton, Dubilier & Rice have also submitted offers. The initial bids were submitted in December for the Colorado-based company, which is seeking at least $3 billion for the sale. Goldman Sachs and Bank of America are running the sales process for EMS.
