EMS Gets Four Buyout Bids

Four private-equity firms have made offers to buy U.S. ambulance company, Emergency Medical Services.

Four private-equity firms have made offers to buy U.S. ambulance company, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Bloomberg reports. BainCapital and KKR have emerged as leading candidates, while ApaxPartners and Clayton, Dubilier&Rice have also submitted offers.

The initial bids were submitted in December for the Colorado-based company, which is seeking at least $3 billion for the sale. Goldman Sachs and Bank of America are running the sales process for EMS.
