Pegged by money managers as a “big-picture” and “beyond-the-box” thinker, Wynne urged clients all the way back in March 2007 to buy PG&E Corp. and has maintained the position since, citing strong growth prospects for the San Francisco–based utility. The stock shot up 20 percent, from $38.96 to $46.76, in the 12 months through August, and Wynne remains bullish.
