London Dominates Europe in World's Best Hotels Ranking
London establishments dominate our annual ranking of the region’s top hotels.

The Metropolitan, an exclusive hotel in Londons swank Mayfair district, is the top hotel in Europe, according to The 2012 Worlds Best Hotels, Institutional Investors annual ranking of elite establishments.
The boutique property offers contemporary, high-tech accommodation with destination amenities like Nobu, a Michelin-starred Japanese-Peruvian restaurant, and the Met Bar.
The Lanesborough, which sits across Hyde Park Corner from the Metropolitan, comes in second place followed by the Connaught, another Mayfair property, the Ritz in Paris and the Ritz in London.
London dominates the top 10 with six hotels, while Paris, Dublin, Zurich and Rome have one each.
The ranking is determined by the votes of well-travelled II readers, including senior financial and corporate executives.
The full ranking will publish on the site on December 4. In the meantime, we'll publish our ranking of the top hotels in Asia on Thursday.
