Brompton Cross Capital Advisers, a hedge fund firm started by SAC Capital Advisors veteran Storm Boswick, will engage in both venture capital and private equity deals, according to an investor document. Investors will only be able to participate in such transactions outside the firm's $125 million Brompton Cross Capital Partners fund, which invests in the technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) sectors. Boswick declined to comment.
The New York-based fund, which launched Feb. 1, has between 10 and 30 long positions and between 20 and 60 shorts. 75% of the portfolio will contain companies with over a $1 billion market capitalization, according to the document. The investment minimum is $5 million with 2/20 fees and a 6-month lockup. Goldman Sachs is the prime broker.
