Nitin Prabhu, head of European structured credit trading at Deutsche Bank in London, is moving to become head of commodity sales and structuring for Europe. He will replace Renato Barbieri, who became head of principal investing for commodities earlier this year, and will report to David Silbert, who is set to join next year as global head of commodities from Merrill Lynch.

Rajeev Misra, global head of credit trading in London, said the moves are part an expansion of the commodities business planned for the first quarter. Misra, who is also responsible for commodities, said he expects to add about 30 v.p.s and directors to the 100-person commodities team to help the firm compete with the rest of the Street.

Misra said a replacement for Prabhu has not been finalized. Prabhu did not return phone calls.
