Ratel Capital Management has launched its first hedge fund, HFMWeek reports. The Ratel Capital Fund is an event-driven value strategy, looking at mispriced securities arising from corporate events and industry themes.
Jefferies is the prime broker of the portfolio and Rothstein Kass is its auditor. New York-based Ratel Capital was formed by Dan Carroll, the founder and portfolio manager of Litmus Capital Management and Amit Batra of Steel Canyon Capital last year.
