There are hints that the European Union member states may be pressing the E.U. to extend proposed regulations of the over-the-counter derivatives market to the entire derivatives sector. In a new draft, “OTC” is omitted from the title, suggesting all-inclusive regulation, which some dealers have said may be easier to enforce than just part of the market.
