Goldman Sachs Group and JPMorgan Chase & Co. have increased their stakes in the London Metal Exchange (LME) in the past year, Bloomberg reports. As of September 26, Goldman was holding 1.23 million ordinary shares in LME, filings with the U.K.’s Companies House show.
J.P. Morgan, which held 550,000 shares in 2009, has taken the number up to 800,000 shares. ScotiaMocatta, part of Scotia Capital and a unit of the Bank of Nova Scotia, transferred all its 30,000 shares in that period.
