U.K. mortgage lending rose £2 billion ($3.2 billion) in February, well above the previous six-month average of £1.1 billion, though the 12-month growth rate remained flat at 0.7%, according to the Bank of England. Gross lending also was flat last month, and remortgaging approvals in February were well above the preceding six-month average.
