Kernel Capital has launched a new medtech accelerator fund, targeting seed investments in medical technology in Ireland.

Kernel Capital has launched a new medtech accelerator fund, targeting seed investments in medical technology in Ireland, AltAssets reports. The Bank of Ireland Medtech Accelerator Fund will invest as much as €500,000 in Irish medical technology companies, with a focus on export-orientated start-ups in the medical device, diagnostics and laboratory fields. The portfolio will complement the €26 million Bank of Ireland Seed and Early Stage Equity Fund, which is to back cleantech, food, financial services and technology start-ups. The new fund by the Irish venture firm is backed by the government and is managed by Dublin and London-based investor Atlantic Bridge Partners.
