Jefferies has hired Naomi Kumagai, Makarim Salman and Masahiro Wakasugi as senior equity research analysts. Based in Tokyo, Kumagai will be responsible for healthcare, Salman will manage the financial services and insurance area, while Wakasugi will deal with technology.

Previously, Kumagai and Salman served at Macquarie Capital Securities as senior equity research analysts covering healthcare and insurance, respectively. Wakasugi worked with AllianceBernstein as a senior vice president and equity research analyst.
