Nomura Appoints EMEA Chief

Nomura Holdings has appointed John Phizackerley as its new head of Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Nomura Holdings has appointed John Phizackerley as its new head of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Reuters reports. In his new role at the Japanese brokerage, he will replace Tarun Jotwani, who has been promoted to head of global markets. The firm has also appointed Benoit Savoret as global co-head of equities, replacing Rashid Bazouba, adds Financial Times. He has formerly worked at Lehman Brothers in various roles, including as COO in EMEA.
