European stocks surged September 20 on the hope that Greece will secure another tranche of aid funding from the European Union and the International Monetary Fund, ETF Trends reports. Equity exchange-traded funds (ETFs) were also getting a lift from optimism that the Federal Reserve may declare additional stimulus. Vanguard European ETF was up 1.5 percent Tuesday afternoon in U.S. trading. According to Andrew Busch, global currency strategist at BMO Capital Markets in Chicago, there will be more volatility in the global financial markets heading into the month-end as pressure to get Greece and others to enact their reforms will be intense.
