European investors, looking for an alternative to equities, are using active ETFs that provide the usual benefits of an ETF, IFA Online reports. Investors are looking for a way to be in cash with more value, said Michael Lytle, managing director at Source.
Source, among the few European providers with active ETFs, joined hands with PIMCO earlier this year to offer actively managed fixed-income ETFs. The firms recently launched the PIMCO Sterling Short Maturity Source ETF, which now has £40 million in assets and invests primarily in short-term investment-grade debt, denominated in sterling.
