Barclays Capital, the investment banking arm of Barclays, has expanded its Asia ex-Japan equity research team with the appointment of Ephrem Ravi, Scott Darling and Marcus Gunn, The Asset reports. Based in Hong Kong, Ravi will set up and head Barclays Capital’s metals and mining sector research team across the Asia ex-Japan region. Darling will have a similar responsibility for oil and gas sector research across the same region.
Marcus Gunn will be heading product management in the Asia ex-Japan equity research team. Previously, Ravi was head of metals and mining equity research at Morgan Stanley, Darling was with Nomura Holdings and Gunn was head of Asia (ex Japan) product management for equity research at Morgan Stanley.
