Financial advisers in the U.S. overseeing at least USD 100 million are significantly more likely to trade derivatives and options than their smaller counterparts, according to Bellomy Research. In its first survey of the industry, Bellomy found that 94% of advisers managing at least USD500 million traded equity derivatives while 78% with between USD100 million to USD500 million made option trades, compared with 48% of advisers with USD50 million to USD100 million, and 36% for advisers with less than USD50 million.
