Three independents board members of TNK-BP will review Rosneft and BP’s planned alliance, Reuters reports. Gerhard Schroeder, Alexander Shokhin and James Leng will have a meeting on Feb. 17, 2011 to decide on the matter.
The vote will depend entirely on the independent directors. The share swap deal between the U.K. company and Rosneft will make Russia a shareholder in BP and see them jointly explore the Arctic for oil.
