Seattle-based
Varolii has raised $8 million in a series D venture capital round to develop some projects, including next-generation smart phone apps. The financing was made by existing investors, including
BlueRun Ventures,
Draper Fischer Jurvetson (DFJ) and
InterWest Partners. DFJ venture partner
William Bryant is joining Varolii’s board of directors. The privately held software company is also appointing a second board member
Lee Roberts, the former CEO and Chairman of
FileNet.
