Conduit Capital Partners will raise $150 million via a Mexican-listed instrument in the second half of 2011, The Wall Street Journal reports. The New York-based firm will issue Certificados de capital de desarrollo (CKDs), which will help finance projects in Mexico.

Conduit’s CKD issue will allow it direct access to Mexican investors and expand its capital from U.S.-denominated funds to include Mexican peso-denominated ones. Mexican pension-fund regulator Consar has allowed local pension funds to invest up to $11 billion in CKDs.
