The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission has proposed tougher regulations that cancel previous reporting exemptions for funds, commodity pools and commodity trading advisers. The proposals, which are similar to those unveiled earlier this week by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, would also impose reporting requirements for funds with more than USD150 million in assets under management with additional reporting for those with AUM of more than USD1 billion.
