Brazil has introduced a new set of measures to help control its foreign exchange rate, Financial Times reports. The government will place a 6% tax on repatriated foreign borrowings to loans or bonds with a maturity of up to 720 days.

The previous limit was of 360 days. The move by Brazil comes after the International Monetary Fund recommended the use of measures to control inflows of speculative capital.
