Manchester To Assess Gottex Mandate

The $154 million City of Manchester Employees’ Contributory Retirement System has put Gottex Fund Management on its watch list.

The $154 million City of Manchester Employees’ Contributory Retirement System (MECRS) has put Gottex Fund Management on its watch list, HFMWeek reports. The moves came after MECRS’ investment consultant NEPC stopped recommending Gottex to clients.

The system has no immediate plan to end its contract with the hedge funds manager. Earlier in 2011, the $154 million public pension fund replaced Attalus Capital with Permal Group.
