Greth Lester
Perella Weinberg Partners

According to fellow hedge fund marketers, Greth Lester is one of the best. Lester, 36, joined New York–based Perella Weinberg Partners in June 2007 after three years as a vice president in charge of business development with the fund-of-funds firm Ivy Asset Management.

Lester, who has a BA in anthropology from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, started out as a consultant with the Darien, Connecticut, advisory firm Casey, Quirk & Associates before moving into hedge funds, first as director of marketing for a New York hedge fund and then with Ivy. Since joining Perella Weinberg he has helped raise assets for its hedge funds, including the $3 billion distressed-debt fund Xerion. This year he moved to the U.K. to head up fund resources and branding efforts in Europe.
