PTT Exploration and Production (PTTEP) is looking to raise $1 billion in equity, Calgary Herald reports. The company will use the funds to finance expansion and acquisition plans.

The final size of the deal will be tentatively more than $1 billion. Thailand’s oil and gas explorer intends to invest $4.47 billion in 2011 and $17 billion in the next five years.
