Ascent Investment Partners has named Brian Tournier as director of research. Tournier will lead credit research, monitoring and reviewing existing and prospective investments. He will also boost client communication through the publication of periodic research reports on market trends and credit developments. Most recently, Tournier was vice president, director of credit analysis for Stern Brothers & Co. He has also been vice president, group leader of municipal research for St. Louis–based AG Edwards & Sons.
