Edinburgh-based investment boutique Par Equity is rolling out its first enterprise investment scheme (EIS) by the end of the August, Financial Times reports. The fund is seeking to raise about £5 million. The hard-cap and maximum limit on funds is £10 million.
The product, which is structured as an unregulated collective investment scheme, will target companies in the vanilla technology, medical technology and clean technology sectors. Investors in the fund will secure 30% income tax relief on the amount invested in qualifying investments, up to a maximum of £500,000 annually.
