Sinohydro Corp. has placed its bid for a $200 million hydropower station deal in Ecuador, Xinhua reports, citing China Daily. The move is part of Ecuador’s plans to develop clean technologies.

In 2010, Sinohydro entered in agreement with Ecuador to build a $1.7 billion Coca Codo Sinclair hydroelectric plant. The project was the largest ever in the country.
