The Department of Statistics reported that service sector's business receipts increased 14.4% year over year in Q4/2005.  Excluding financial and insurance services, the index increased 6.8% y/y in Q4/2005. The financial and insurance services segment increased significantly by 50.6% on the back of higher premiums from life and general insurers. Significant growths in recreational activities and transport and storage industries also contributed to the overall increase in the index. However, advertising receipts declined 6.7% year over year in Q4/2005. On a quarter over quarter basis, overall business receipts increased 4.5% in Q4/2005.
