The Securities and Exchange Commission has issued a draft release seeking information for a study on how different regulatory systems affect individual investors. The SEC is looking for “informal expressions of interest and comments” from potential contractors, among others, regarding the marketing, sale and delivery of financial products, accounts, programs and services to investors. According to the SEC, the study is intended to help the agency in formulating requirements that better protect investors while incorporating the realities of the marketplace.
