Citigroup and Credit Suisse were among the eight firms and more than two dozen individuals receiving fines and/or censures from New York Stock Exchange watchdog NYSE Regulation. Citigroup has been ordered to pay $250,000 and was censured for a lack of supervisory controls at its global markets offices in Colorado and California. Credit Suisse First Boston, as CS was known at the time of alleged record-keeping violations between 1997 and 2001, was fined $200,000. Also hit with a $200,000 fine were Helfant Group for not consolidating odd-lot orders into full ones and for not obtaining enough customer information; and Fleet Specialist, Fleet Securities and Quick & Reilly for not retaining e-mails. Employees of these firms were individually fined.
