Fitch reported that it has revised outlook of Russian Rosbank’s issuer default rating and its national long-term rating from stable to positive. At the same time, the agency affirmed IDR at B+, national long-term rating of A-, short-term B, individual D and support 4. The revision of the outlook reflects the recent acquisition of 10% stake in the bank by Société Générale. The foreign financial institution also entered into an exclusive negotiation to implement a cooperation agreement to support the Russian bank’s development and to increase Société Générale’s stake up to 20%. However, according to the agency even as minority shareholder Société Générale will have a positive impact on Rosbank’s activity. Rosbank was established in 1992. It is ranked among top 10 banks in Russia. An 87% stake of Rosbank is controlled by Interros financial industrial group.
