Nancy Jacob, founder and ceo of Windermere Investment Associates, has left the firm after nine years at its helm. Lydian Wealth Management acquired Portland, Ore.-based Windermere in 2004, and Jacob oversaw the merger integration.

Jacob told PAM that she wanted to cut down on her workload and traveling time but will stay active as an investment professional underscoring her involvement as an independent contributor to two corporate boards.

Scott Welch, managing director at Lydian, said that the wealth management industry leader will not be replaced and "the firm will use her departure as a catalyst to further integrate the offerings of the two firms."

Jacob is credited with founding Jacob Investment Consulting, which was acquired by CTC Consulting in 1989. She served as chairman and ceo of CTC and launched investment consulting firm Windermere in 1997. Windermere gave Rockville, Md.-based Lydian a presence in Oregon and bolstered its technology platform with the addition of the PORTAX asset allocation software developed by Jacob.
