The economy ministry have disbursed combined HUF87.8 million (€0.35 million) to companies, which plan bourse listing, economy minister Janos Koka announced at the ringing bell of BSE's first session for this year. Late in August the cabinet approved a HUF100 billion program for encouraging companies to go public. The subsidies were awarded to TVNetWork, Bookline.hu and Genex – all of them planning listing – as well as Allami Nyomda, which already went public in December. We note that in sharp contrast with its Warsaw peer where some 35 companies were floated last year, Allami was the only IPO on BSE. Koka stressed that the subsidy program would be continued this year with another HUF 100 million available to companies.
