CPISC federation of business association says CEC bank should not be privatized and proposes to appointment a private manager, with firm performance criteria and to increase bank's capital by public subscription, local media reports. CPISC is one of the three country's large business association and is led by Deputy Prime Minister George Copos. The government invited business association to express their views over the intended privatization of CEC savings bank, after the privatization committee decided last week to go forward with the process after two months of uncertainties. In the context of talks with the IMF experts, AOAR business association also said earlier in February that CEC should not be privatized.  But we do not expect the government to change its mind in regard to the sale of CEC bank, but at most adjust the procedure and clauses of the contract.
