Canadians approaching retirement are better prepared financially than emotionally, according to a study by Investors Group. The survey by the Winnipeg-based firm found that 31% say they have their financial affairs in order when the big change comes, while only 4% say they are well-prepared for the emotional transition in lifestyle. Other results revealed that 74% of those five years away from retirement are financially ready, compared with only 55% who are 15 years away from retirement.
