Starting Feb. 1, the Nasdaq will start charging 7 cents per 100 shares to remove liquidity in stocks on the New York Stock Exchange, Dow Jones Newswires reports. The Nasdaq reportedly will also offer a 5 cent rebate per 100 shares for increasing liquidity in certain instances. The move, which is expected to help "standardize" the Nasdaq's pricing structure, comes at a time when the NYSE is also looking into changing how it charges for services.  Analyst Roger Freeman told Dow Jones Newswires that the new Nasdaq fees are not expected to greatly affect the exchange's financial results.
