The Yuan finished at its highest level, of 8.0458, to the U.S. dollar since its revaluation in July for the fourth straight trading session, early this week. Reuters reported that foreign exchange dealers in China believe that this is an indication from the central bank of willing to a gradual revaluation. The Yuan can theoretically rise or fall 0.3% from its mid-point during the day. Yuan gained following the People's Bank of China's announcement of a daily mid-point of 8.0472 for the Yuan's exchange rate to the U.S. dollar, on Monday. China's large trade surpluses and continued inflow of foreign investment has seen to take continuous inflow of U.S. dollars into the Chinese market. The central bank has intervened occasionally to curb the Yuan's gain.
