Glanbia has completed the acquisition of Bio-Engineered Supplements and Nutrition (BSN). The Irish international nutritional ingredients and cheese group paid a total of $144 million for the acquisition. The buyer has acquired the business on a debt free basis. The purchase is expected to be earnings enhancing in 2011. The transaction has been financed through Glanbia’s existing banking facilities.
