Edison Mission Energy, a unit of Edison Mission Group, has secured a $255 million debt refinancing. The package consists of a $227 million term loan facility and ancillary credit facilities of $28 million for debt service reserve, working capital and project letter of credit requirements. The new loan, with a 10-year maturity period, has increased company’s existing loan for the portfolio secured in 2009 by about $85 million. The loan has been secured for the company’s Viento II wind energy portfolio, which includes three separate wind projects in three states.
