RiverVest Venture Partners has appointed John McKearn as managing director. McKearn, who joined RiverVest as a venture partner in 2008, currently serves as a member of the board of directors for Otonomy.

He has served on the boards of IDM Pharma, Epimmune and Keel Pharmaceuticals. Formerly, he has also served as a president and CEO of Kalypsys, head of discovery research for Pharmacia and Searle and as a senior scientist with EI DuPont de Nemours and Company.
