Clifton Group has appointed Andrew Spellar as portfolio manager, overseeing risk parity strategies. He is joining the U.S. firm from the Fairfax County Retirement Administration Agency, where he was senior investment manager. Spellar was also internal consultant to the Board of Trustees of the $2.9 billion Fairfax County Employees’ Retirement System (FCERS). Clifton is planning to roll out proprietary risk parity strategies during the first quarter of the year.
