The Brazilian government is planning to introduce a new round of measures to limit the appreciation of its currency, Reuters reports. Brazil is seeking to curb the real to help its exporters.
The new measures may include another increase of the IOF tax and stricter controls of foreign capital, adds Bloomberg. Brazil had previously tripled the IOF tax it charges foreigners when they buy local bonds to 6% in October 2010.
