Armajaro Asset Management has launched a new natural resource portfolio, Reuters reports. The Armajaro Natural Resources Fund is the sixth hedge fund of the firm that will use commodity-related equities rather than futures or spot markets.

The portfolio, set to launch on Feb. 1, 2011, will focus on natural resources, including metals, energy and agriculture and economic trends. Nick Glinsman has been appointed to manage the fund, while James Whitehead will be its risk manager.
