Spanish investment firm, Inverseguros, will dissolve its €490 million property fund, Segurfondo Inversion, Citywire reports. The real estate fund, which was closed for redemptions in April 2009, was planning a reopening by April 2011. Inverseguros could not raise the capital required to meet the redemption requests and will have to liquidate the fund. The property fund’s portfolio consists of about 60% in residential properties and 30% in offices, with the majority of its holdings in and around Madrid.
