Ladbrokes has ended its acquisition talks with the online gambling group, 888 Holdings, Financial Times reports. The London-based gambling company had made a 70 pence per share offer, but could not get an agreement at this level.

888’s founding shareholders, the Shaked and Yitshak families, who own 61% of the stock, did not support the deal. Ladbrokes cannot make another approach for the company for six months, under Takeover Panel rules.
