China and New Zealand has entered into a currency swap agreement worth $3.8 billion, Bloomberg reports. The deal aims to promote bilateral trade and investment as well as strengthen financial cooperation. The contract will expire in 2014 but is open to extension. China has arranged eight swap agreements with South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Belarus, Argentina, Iceland and Singapore since December 2008.
