Westpac Online Investing has launched global Contracts for Difference (CFDs), Financial Standard reports. Clients will have access to CFDs coverage across nine international markets, which include international shares, share market indices, foreign exchange (FX) and commodities. The investors of the firm can also choose long or short positions in these markets by providing a cash deposit rather than paying the full value of the underlying position. The expanded CFD offering will enable investors to gain leveraged exposure without needing to own the underlying asset.
